Storms Always Have An End

Whether it be in our school or our places of work, we will pass through many storms of life also known as challenges. The storms of life are not necessarily as severe as Covid. Whether it be in our school or our places of work, we will pass through many storms of life also known as challenges. The storms of life are not necessarily as severe as Covid. Perhaps it could be a really difficult exam that you are preparing for or it could be failure in school, or it could even be difficulty in making friends at a new school. Storms of life come in different forms but one thing to always remember is that they all have an end.

Finding peace amidst these storms is very important. One major thing I find that has helped me to overcome some storms I’ve passed through in my personal life is prayer. In communicating with God, I am pouring my heart out to him, casting all my cares, burdens and worries upon him so I don’t have to go through it alone. Amongst many other names, Jesus is also known as the Prince of Peace. Jesus is peace. He brings peace to any problem and situation. Allow him to be that peace in your life when the storm arises.

The people we have around us, our friends, associates, colleagues play a big part in our peace of mind. It is very vital to surround ourselves or spend our time with those who give us peace of mind. Do not have people around you who never contribute to your peace of mind or try to disrupt your peace of mind. Just imagine you’re going through a hard time at work and your friends are always nagging at you, always complaining about their many problems to you, but never bother to ask you how you are – it’s always about them. We must be very wise in choosing our friends, those who are willing to pray with you when you are going through a hard time, those who will do anything in their power to cheer you up, those who will always offer their help and are always there to talk to, those who encourage you and uplift your spirit.

In the Bible, Sarah faced the storm of barrenness over a long period of time but it came to an end. Leah’s storm was that her husband hated her but she overcame in the end because God favoured her. Joseph was hated by his siblings and sold into slavery in a strange land. When the time came, he conquered and became prime minister. These are a few biblical proofs to show that God is present in our storms, guiding us through them.

Always remember that God never forgets his own. Whatever storm you are passing through presently; loss of job, failure in school, stagnancy at work, delay in marriage, loneliness, God is there to help us through it and help us come out of it stronger than before. Just allow Him and He will see you through.

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Isaiah 43:2
